# About — a small consultancy that delivers

Jensen Consulting is a delivery firm for commerce — not a software vendor, not a body shop. We embed in your project as project managers, business analysts, and business architects, and run it from strategy through go-live and the support that follows. We do everything except write the code.

## The firm

End to end on commerce delivery — everything but the keyboard.

Founded in 2019, Jensen is built on a narrow conviction: most commerce projects don't fail on ideas, they fail in delivery — in the gap between what the business meant and what actually gets built.

The practice is run with an operator's eye. We've sat on both sides of the table — writing the requirements and living with the result — so we know the difference between a plan that looks right and one that survives contact with a real build. We're not interested in frameworks for their own sake; we're interested in the thing shipping.

We stay deliberately small and take on a handful of engagements at a time, so each gets a principal's attention rather than a pyramid of analysts. We work across the whole lifecycle — strategy, product ownership, project management, requirements, UX, development oversight, and operations support — plugging in wherever the delivery needs a grip.

We're a consultancy, not a software house. We don't employ developers and we don't sell development services. We'll join any custom development project and direct it — your team or your vendor writes the code, we make sure it's the right code, delivered.

## Four principles we don't bend

1. **Delivery, not just advice** — We don't hand over a deck and leave. We stay in the work — owning delivery through go-live and the support after it.
2. **We direct, we don't code** — A consultancy, not a software house. We manage and support the build; we don't employ developers or sell development services.
3. **Capability, not dependence** — We build your team's grip as we go. The day we leave, you can run it without us — and that's the point.
4. **Direct, dry, declarative** — We say what we did and what to do next. No hedging, no jargon-creep, no superlatives. You'll always know where you stand.

## Who you work with

Founder-led, by design. Jensen is a founder-led practice. You work directly with the person doing the thinking — not a bench, not a hand-off to a junior team.
